Under Armour HOVR Machina
Under Armour has recently announced the launch of UA HOVR Machina, mixing real-time form coaching, the speed of a racing shoe and the comfort of a long-distance trainer to give runners that extra edge.
The perfect balance between speed and comfort, UA HOVRTM Machina are digitally connected, allowing runners to track and analyse their runs, as well as gaining unprecedented insight into their running form.
From Saturday, 1 February, Under Armour is taking connected running to the next level with the introduction of real-time form coaching. This personalised feature helps every runner ensure that their form doesn’t breakdown in the middle of a run by providing real-time, personalised guidance, helping runners better manage their risk of injury and improve their performance.
Whether they’re racing for a spot at trials, attempting to qualify for a marathon, or aiming to shave a few seconds off their 5k best, UA HOVR Machina will equip runners with the tools to reach their personal best goals in 2020.
Runners can also measure their foot strike angle and ground contact time, offered in a post-run analysis, to give them deeper insights into their form, especially useful on longer runs where the form may tend to break down due to fatigue.
UA HOVRTM Machina are light and responsive, utilising a propulsion plate designed to give that fast-feeling and allow runners to keep the pace quick no matter the distance. The 2-pronged carbon-filled Pebax® spring plate also helps runners to get up on their toes and keep their turnover quick and their transition snappy.
Cushioning is known to improve running energy, a factor that can make a difference of several minutes when it comes to marathon racing. UA HOVR Machina features a new uncaged UA HOVR midsole—which includes all the benefits of soft HOVR cushioning, without any extra weight. With the same durability and fit as the trusted UA HOVR Infinite and 20 per cent more UA HOVR cushioning, the new UA HOVR Machina provides more energy return to help make the last kilometre the fastest.
These features are available in all of the footwear in Under Armour’s 2020 run suite, with a seamless easy-to-use connection to MapMyRun.
The full UA HOVR Machina run footwear suite is available in Australia from 7 February at www.underarmour.com.au, Under Armour Brand Houses and Rebel Sport stores across Australia.
