Run for Mental Health

After completing an extraordinary 920 km run from Melbourne to Sydney in just 17 days, UK ultra-endurance runner Charlie Sutherland is preparing for his next extreme challenge—running 700 km in seven days around Sydney’s Centennial Park.

Starting on April 23, 2025, Sutherland will run 100 km per day, completing 26 laps of the park’s 3.8 km loop daily. This challenge builds on his previous success, where he raised £7,000 ($14,000) for men’s mental health, and now aims to raise £50,000 ($100,000) to further support mental health initiatives and suicide prevention.

Sutherland’s previous challenge saw him averaging 52 km per day for 16 days, before an epic 100 km final push to the Sydney finish line. His efforts have sparked vital conversations about mental health, resilience, and self-belief, and this new challenge aims to make an even bigger impact.

Supporters can follow Sutherland’s journey and contribute to the cause through his social media and fundraising platforms.
