Review: Nank Runner Diver2 Pro

Highly adaptable bone conducting headphones that take sound and build quality to the next level.

We’ve reviewed a few different headphones over the years and each time we get a pair to test it seems that the technology keeps improving. Bone conducting ones are a modern design that emerged over the past decade to allow people to listen to their music or phone calls but still have an element of awareness about what’s going on in the word around them. They’re also good for people that don’t like having plugs or buds in their ears.

Early machinations were ok at best. They were fine for quiet locations, but take them into a busy urban environment or public spaces with other ambient noise, and they weren’t terribly effective. To be honest, even most of the more recent models are best used in quieter places or if you don’t mind your music being more background entertainment rather than front and centre motivational beats. However, with the Nank Runner Diver2 Pro I think we’ve arrived at a place where you can have your cake and eat it too!

These amazing headphones are packed with features, but what matters most to us is having great quality sound with dynamic range and volume when you need it. These deliver exactly that. They provide fantastic audio and best of all, you can adjust them to either allow more ambient sound in, or essentially have noise cancelling that allows you to escape the outside world. There’s decent bass for those that like their beats and great clarity for more complex audio, like classical music.

The fit is snug and comfortable on my small to average sized head. There’s a small amount of movement or bounce when running fast, which is expected, but I imagine on someone with a larger cranium they would fit very firm. The overall design or shape is simple and in line with most similar products out there, however slightly larger. The bulk allows for more durability, better sound, longer batters life and also 32gig of internal memory for all your favourite tracks to be available when you don’t have your phone handy.

In summary, these are arguably the best bone conducting headphones we’ve tried and I highly recommend giving them a go.
